Appleton's Independence Day celebration and fireworks for 2023 are set for Monday, July 3 at Memorial Park.

KAUKAUNA — We don’t know yet what type of fireworks will take place on the field Thursday at the Kaukauna vs. Appleton East football game.

But we do know there will be fireworks after the game.

According to Kaukauna High School, the Kaukauna Quarterback Club, the city of Kaukauna and some local businesses that will be highlighted tomorrow are sponsoring a professional fireworks show following our home varsity football game.

The game begins at 7 p.m. at Bank of Kaukauna Stadium, next to Kaukauna High School.

Ten minutes after the game is complete, the lights at the stadium will go out for the show.

All fans and players are invited to sit on the field or watch from the bleachers. The show will last approximately 15 minutes.

The game was moved to Thursday from Friday because of expected heavy rain.

The game will stream live on Zaleski sports HERE.

For those attending the game, there will be several fundraisers.

One if for for two Tanner Elementary School students battling terminal illnesses. READ MORE.

Also, Kaukauna High School HOSA-Future Health Professionals students will be selling pink and breast cancer Pura Vida bracelets, with a portion of the proceeds supporting head volleyball coach Jodi Matthias, who is battling breast cancer.

The Ghosts, (7-1, 5-1) sit atop the conference standings with Kimberly, (6-1,5-1) although Kaukauna holds the tie breaking following their 14-13 win last Friday over the Papermakers.

It was the team’s first win over Kimberly since 2003.

Kaukauna has already qualified for the post-season for a program record sixth consecutive year.

The Ghosts will know their Level-1 opponent following the WIAA reveal show Saturday morning. Watch the livestream HERE.
