KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls golf team hopes to improve on last year’s finish as they return to the WIAA state golf tournament for the second year in a row.
The Ghosts advanced to the Division 1 tournament Monday and Tuesday at University Ridge in Madison after placing second last week in the sectional with a team score of 336.
Charlie Clinefelter led the Ghosts with a 79 and finished fourth overall, McKenna Lowe carded an 82 and finished seventh, Norah Berken fired an 83 and finished eighth and Grace Schomin shot 92 to complete the scoring. Kennedy Kolosso had an impressive 43 on the back nine for the Ghosts.
Kaukauna players will be grouped in foursomes Monday with Holman, Brookfield East and Middleton and will tee off on hole No. 10.

STATE MEET STREAMED LIVE: The ninth and 18th holes of the WIAA State Girls Golf Championships will be streamed live without subscription on the NFHS Network at nfhsnetwork.com/associations/wiaa-wi or WIAA.tv. The Ghosts should be at the finishing hole by about 12:30 p.m.
