KAUKAUNA — For the third year in a row, the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls golf team has won the Fox Valley Association conference championship.

The Ghosts girls shot a 328 Thursday to win the conference meet at Chaska Golf Course.

McKenna Lowe shot 80 to finish second overall, while Norah Berken and Charlie Clinefelter tied for third with 81s and Kennedy Kolosso rounded off the scoring with an 86.

The Ghosts are at Butte Des Morts Country Club on Monday for a WIAA Division 1 Regional Tournament.

This has been a record-breaking season for the Ghosts.

Earlier this month, the girls broke the 18 hole school team record on a Saturday, then broke it again the followng Monday by shooting a 326 to win the Sheboygan Invite at Town and Country Golf Club.

Berken also broke the school record this season for both 9 and 18 holes by an individual. 

A year ago, the Ghosts team qualified for the 2022 state tournament after finishing second at the Kimberly sectional at High Cliff Golf Course.

Should the Ghosts advance, this year’s sectional tournament is Monday, Oct. 2, 2023.

The WIAA state girls golf tournament is Oct. 9 and 10 at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.
