ASHWAUBENON — Police are seeking other possible witnesses after an Ashwaubenon man was cited for unwanted contact with a juvenile girl.

Ashwaubenon Public Safety arrested Michael Ortega, 36, Ashwaubenon, Friday for village ordinance 9-1-7(a) for prowling.

Police say Ortega approached a group of juvenile girls Wednesday at Pioneer Park in Ashwaubenon asking one of them for personal information so they could hang out later on, according to a news release from Ashwaubenon Public Safety.

When she refused, police say Ortega picked her phone up so he could call his own phone to obtain her phone number.

Ortega left the area shortly after when another adult approached after seeing what was going on.

Ortega has been seen in Pioneer and Waterford Park areas with a white dog. He drives a maroon 2011 Nissan Rogue.

Police say ot is also possible that Ortega may have approached other juvenile females in the Pioneer or Waterford park areas.

If you have any information regarding similar behavior with Ortega that you have witnessed or been a victim of, you are urged to report it by calling Ashwaubenon Public Safety at (920)492-2995 and select option 1 for dispatch.

Police also are urging parents to speak to their children about what to do if they are approached by an unknown adult asking for personal information or other inappropriate questioning.
