KAUKAUNA — After 40 years of delighting visitors at the 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna, Jabber the parrot now needs help with his growing medial bills.

According to a Facebook post from 1000 Islands, the Amazon parrot is the highlight for many visitors and they often see parents who grew up visiting Jabber themselves, introduce their own children to our charismatic parrot.

Amazon parrots are long-lived and as Jabber is entering his “senior” years, he needs additional vet visits and is now on multiple medications due to a heart murmur and arthritis.

1000 Islands now is asking for donations towards Jabber’s continued medical care.

Donations can be made by clicking on the donate button on their Facebook post HERE.

Donations can also be dropped off or mailed to 1000 Islands at 1000 Beaulieu Ct. Kaukauna, WI 54130.

If sending in money, please specify that the donation is for animal care.
