SATURDAY UPDATE — The Kaukauna Ghosts ran to a state championship in the 4×100 meter relay Saturday at the WIAA state track and field meet in La Crosse.

The relay team of Logan Bartolac, Noah Hofmann, Danny VanDyke and Carson VanDinter finished with a time of 41.81. Maxwel Krueger, Colton Dickman were the alternates.

The win was the highlight of a strong showing by Kaukauna’s boys and girls teams.

Among the other top finishes was Mason Tiener, who finished second in the high jump at 6’9″. Brady Hoffer finished 8th.

Kaukauna’s 4×200 meter relay team came in second to Kimberly. The team included Noah Hofmann, Daniel VanDyke, Nolan Hall, Carson VanDinter with Danny Poor and Will Clark as alternates.

Alexa Kinas finished third in the 400 meter dash to go along with her third place finish in the long jump.

The boys 4×800 meter relay finished 7th.

Daniel Van Dyke finished seventh in the 200 meter dash.

Andrew Milhans finished 7th in the 800 meter run.

Aaron Schimke finished 10th in the 1600 meter run and 13th in the 3200 meter run.

Sydney Fauske was 8th in the 3200 meter run and Reese Fauske finished 14th.

Katie Jensen finished 18th in the discus.

The girls’ 4×800 meter relay finished 19th.

FRIDAY UPDATE — Kaukauna’s Alexa Kinas finished third Friday in the WIAA Division long jump Friday at the state track and field meet in La Crosse and will race in Saturday’s 400 meter finals.

Daniel Van Dyke qualified for the 200 meter dash final on Saturday, and two boys relay teams and one girls relay team made it to Saturday’s finals as well.

The 127th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Track and Field Championships and the 52nd Girls Track and Field Championships will be held Friday-Saturday, June 2-3, at the Veterans Memorial Stadium Complex on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
