KIMBERLY – Multi-platinum recording group Lonestar takes to the stage Thursday, July 13, 2023 on the open night of Paperfest at Sunset Park in Kimberly.

The classic country hitmakers have delivered one chart-topping hit after another with nine No. 1 singles and 23 Top 40 hits. The multi-award winning country group will play a free concert in the Fox Cities with huge hits like “Amazed,” “I’m Already There,” “My Front Porch Looking In,” “What About Now,” and so many more, according to a news release.

Lonestar found success out of the gate with their self-titled 1995 debut, which spawned the hit “Tequila Talkin” along with “No News.” Lonestar’s forthcoming album, TEN to 1 – an invigorating re-recording of 10 of their #1 hits – is due out Friday, June 2, 2023.

The band has won many of the music’s top honors including Academy of Country Music Awards for New Vocal Group in 1996, and Single and Song of the Year in 2000, along with Humanitarian of the Year in 2002. They also won Country Music Association’s Vocal Group of the Year and International Artist Achievement award in 2001. All told Lonestar have sold more than 10.5 million records since their formation.

The concert begins with Grand Union at 5 pm. Grand Union is one of Wisconsin’s best country cover acts performing a perfect blend of today’s hits and yesterday’s greats.

Lonestar closes out the night on the Event Production Systems Sunset Stage at 8:30 pm. The free concert is sponsored by Community First Credit Union.

Paperfest presented by Community First Credit Union brings the fun to Sunset Park in Kimberly on July 13-16, 2023. The 35th annual free-admission event offers something for the whole family with fireworks (Friday), hot air balloon glow (Saturday), carnival rides ($1 rides on Sunday), food truck rally, riverboat cruises, axe throwing, helicopter rides, family fun, and so much more. As the sun goes down, the lights go up in a big way with 35 free live music acts across three stages including national recording artists and local favorites. Proceeds from Paperfest are donated back into the community through various local nonprofit organizations.
