KAUKAUNA — Two local businesses have stepped up recently with major donations to Kaukauna’s planned $6 million municipal pool improvement project.
Bernatello’s Foods this week announced a $100,000 donation to the Aquatic Center Capital Campaign.
“Because of the generosity of our community, the aquatic center truly will be something for everyone,” read a social media post from the city.
Bernatello’s Foods is sponsoring the concession stand.
The Bank of Kaukauna also recently announced a $50,000 donation to the capital campaign to sponsor the climbing wall.
The city hopes to raise $1 million of the estimated $6 million for the project from public donations through its “Something for Everyone campaign.”
Financing
$1 million – Capital Campaign
$1.5 million – Tax Increment Financing
$3 million – City Borrowing (tax payers)
$500,000 – Parks & Pools Capital Funds
City leaders say the new Aquatic Center will change the way we think about our outdoor pool. It will be a gathering place for people from throughout the Kaukauna area and a source of summer memories that will last forever.
Improvements to the facility will include:
• Splash Pad
• Mini-Golf Course
• Water Slide
• Shade Structures
• Climbing Wall
• And More.

Donor Recognition
Donors will be recognized by name both on the donor wall by giving level and at the selected location supported by the gift.
All naming opportunities are subject to the approval by the City of Kaukauna.
Unless otherwise stated, naming is reserved for 20 years.
