KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts boys’ basketball team is on to the sectional semifinal next week after upsetting Sheboygan North 62-60 Saturday to claim a regional title.
The #6 seed Ghosts took care of #3 seed Sheboygan North after winning its regional semifinal 83-72 over Manitowoc Lincoln last night.
Kaukauna next faces Marquette at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at Hartford Union High School in a battle of the underdogs.
Marquette, a 7 seed, beat #2 Fond du Lac 87-80 to move on to the sectional semifinal.
Kaukauna, (17-10) ended the season in fifth place in the Fox Valley Association.
