FOX CITIES — A major winter storm is expected to reach the Fox Valley beginning about 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

A Winter Storm Warning issued this morning and will last through 6 p.m. Thursday.

If you must travel, Outagamie County Emergency Management recommends drivers to keep a flashlight, blankets and a phone in their vehicle in case of an emergency.

The latest road conditions can be found online at 511wi.gov.

Heavy snow is expected with total snow accumulations of 8 to 11 inches and winds gusting as high as 40 mph. For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible tonight through Thursday morning.
