KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna Mayor Tony Penterman has issued a snow emergency for the city beginning at 9 p.m. Wednesday due to the incoming winter storm.

The snow emergency will remain in effect through 7 a.m. Friday.

During the snow emergency, parking is prohibited on all city streets. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and could be towed at the owner’s expense.

A couple items of note:

  • Garbage collection for Thursday, Feb. 23 is suspended. All Thursday garbage will be picked up on Friday, Feb. 24. Please do not place garbage bin out for collection until Friday at 7 a.m.
  • Avoid non-essential travel to allow our Department of Public Works crews to facilitate snow plowing operations effectively and safely. Crews will be plowing around the clock to ensure safe roads for emergency services, focusing on main roads.
  • Check in on your neighbors who may be elderly, disabled, or simply don’t have the resources to handle a snowstorm.
  • Please be aware of crews while they are cleaning up streets. Keep your distance; if you can’t see the driver, they cannot see you.

Additional updates will be posted to our Facebook page and website.
