KAUKAUNA — A Kaukauna home that caught fire Sunday morning when the residents were not home is considered a total loss.

The Kaukauna Fire Department responded about 06:45 a.m. to the fire at 15 Woodhaven Lane, where a single-family home was reported to have smoke and flames coming from the home.

Firefighters arrived on scene within minutes to find the home fully engulfed in flames and the structure had already begun to collapse.

Kaukauna and Little Chute Firefighters continued to extinguish the fire until it was out.

There were no injuries and the home is considered a total loss estimated at more than $400,000.

Combined Locks Fire & Rescue staffed the City of Kaukauna Fire Department as a change of quarters.

Outagamie County CERT who provided beverages, food, and a warming station for our 35 firefighters on scene who battled the blaze.

Other agencies that assisted were the Kaukauna Street Department, Kaukauna Utilities, WE Energies, and the Kaukauna Police Department.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
