KAUKAUNA — Four candidates are running for two Kaukauna Area School District Board of Education seats in April 2023 will be contested.

Current board member Joe Huss is not running for re-election, so four candidates will be running for two open seats on the board, according to the district office.

  • Sue Gertz, incumbent
  • Charles West 
  • Dale Antoine
  • Tracy LyBoualong

Also on the ballot for the April 4, 2023 election, two of the four Kaukauna City Council seats on the ballot will be contested.

  • District 1 – Marty DeCoster (I) faces Liz Walker
  • District 3 – Brian Schell (I) faces Chris Britten

Kelli Antoine in District 2 and Pennie Thiele in District 4 are running unopposed.

In countywide races, County Executive Tom Nelson will be challenged by Justin Krueger of Combined Locks and Kevin Sturn of Greenville.

Because there are three candidates for county executive, a primary will be held Feb. 21, 2023.

Voters also will have a primary for State Supreme Court.
