KAUKAUNA — Two of the four Kaukauna City Council seats on the ballot for the spring 2023 election will be contested.

Tuesday was the deadline for candidates to submit their nomination papers to the city clerk.

Council races on the April 4, 2023 general election are:

District 1 – Marty DeCoster (I) and Liz Walker
District 2 – Kelli Antoine (I)
District 3 – Brian Schell (I) and Chris Britten
District 4 – Pennie Thiele (I)

In countywide races, County Executive Tom Nelson will be challenged by Justin Krueger of Combined Locks and Kevin Sturn of Greenville.

Because there are three candidates for county executive, a primary will be held Feb. 21, 2023.

Voters also will have a primary for State Supreme Court.
