KAUKAUNA — Alana Zarneke of the Galloping Ghosts’ girls basketball team has been nominated as the Wisconsin Sports Network athlete of the week.

The Ghosts are off to an 8-0 to start and are ranked fifth in Division 1 in the Week 3 WSN Coaches Poll.

In an 86-70 win over Appleton East, the St. Cloud State commit had 30 points, eight steals and seven rebounds.

Kaukauna then squared off with unbeaten and third ranked Hortonville and handed them a 70-59 loss.

Zarneke once again led the Galloping Ghosts, scoring 15 points and adding 12 rebounds and six assists.
