KAUKAUNA — The holidays can be a wonderful and also stressful time, and this is especially true for teens.

In an effort to help Kaukauna High School students find strength in their lives, coping skills to deal with stress and fellowship within their school community, the Kaukauna HS National Honor Society, Ghost Crew and Sources of Strength have joined with the Center for Suicide Awareness to sponsor “Merry Mental Health” again this year.

The program begins Wednesday.

During the days leading up to Christmas break, Kaukauna High School staff members will be hosting sessions that provide fun holiday activities for students, according to a news release from the school.

These include caroling around the school, card making, crocheting, meditation, blanket making, coloring, cookie decorating and more.

The initiative culminates on Dec. 23 with a visit from Santa with holiday music and cocoa in the commons.

Each day that a student participates in a Merry Mental Health Activity, they can enter a raffle for prizes including gaming gear and gift cards to local businesses.
