KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls’ volleyball team won its WIAA playoff opener Thursday to advance to Saturday’s Regional final.

Kaukauna, the 5-seed, defeated 12-seed Green Bay Preble 25-15, 25-14, 25-16 in the Division 1 match at Kaukauna High School.

BRACKETS

The Ghosts travel to Bay Port Saturday to take on the 4-seed in their bracket. Bay Port defeated 12-seed Ashwaubenon 25-10, 25-20, 25-7 to advance.

Bay Port High School is just north of Green Bay in the Howard-Suamico School District.

Sectional action takes place Thursday and Saturday of next week, leading up to the 2022 State Girls Volleyball Tournament, Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 3-5, 2022 at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.
