LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Wisconsin is among a number of states were a limited number of jars of Skippy products are being voluntarily recalled because of the possibility that a limited number of jars may contain a small fragment of stainless steel from a piece of manufacturing equipment.

Any products pruchased at StoneRidge Piggly Wiggly stores in our area are not involved in the recall, however.

States where the affected product was shipped: CA, CT, DE, FL, HI, IL, IN, KS, MA, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OK, and WI.

Skippy Foods, LLC, out of an abundance of caution and with an emphasis on the quality of its products, is issuing the recall to ensure that consumers are made aware of the issue. The manufacturing facility’s internal detection systems identified the concern.
