KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna’s annual harbinger of spring, the opening for the season of Dick’s Drive-In, has not gone unnoticed by some local students.

The iconic home of the Maxi Burger is closed for a good portion of the winter, but opened again March 1, 2022 to predictable long lines.

Students at Kaukauna’s Dr. H.B. Tanner Elementary School are apparently fans, too.

In a photo posted Wednesday to Twitter, 4K teacher Lisa Mader showed what her students have been up to.

They’ve built their own Dick’s Drive-In inside their classroom, complete with cash register, cups and order tickets.

“Once Dick’s Drive-In opens in Kaukauna, it naturally comes into the play in our room,” she wrote.

Now, let’s get those kids a burger and fries.
