APPLETON — Appleton’s Hearthstone Museum will host a free, ticketed event where Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson and U.S. Senate candidate will speak with a panel about his book, One Day Stronger.

The event will focus on Nelson’s efforts to save the Appleton Coated Paper Mill with the help of the local union and management of the mill.

In the book, Nelson presents a path forward for the manufacturing industry, and how government officials can go beyond their traditional bounds to improve the lives of the constituents they serve.

Nelson will share his account of events along side other panelists who played important roles.

It is particularly relevant that this story is being told at Hearthstone.

Henry Rogers, the builder of the residence, was a founder of the paper industry along the Fox River.
