KIMBERLY — The Quad Communities Crime Stoppers and Kimberly High School Car Club (KHS Car Club) are teaming up to help prevent the theft of an important and expensive part of your car.

Over the past year, the Fox Valley Metro Police Department says they have responded to numerous calls about catalytic converters thaty were cut off and stolen from vehicles.

Thieves are scrapping the part for a large profit.

On Jan. 27, 2022 Crime Stoppers is offering a limited number of people (appointments between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.) the opportunity to have their catalytic converters marked at Kimberly Service Auto Repair to make it easily identifiable and much less valuable to thieves.

This service is being offered to residents of Little Chute, Kimberly, Kaukauna and Combined Locks.

If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please contact School Resource Officer Duane Dissen by email at duane.dissen@fvmpd.org.
