MILWAUKEE —  The body of a Kaukauna man was found concealed in a car in Cambridge in Dane County Monday night, according to multiple media reports.

The body of the 34-year-old man was found after the driver was arrested for an altercation with police.

Authorities have not identified the victim, and say he likely died earlier in another location.

The Dane County sheriff’s office says a 28-year-old woman was arrested Monday shortly before the body was discovered, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Deputies said callers alleged a woman was asking people for money and a ride.

The woman, who is from Hartland and was driving the car McCormick was found in, was arrested after displaying a gun and ignoring commands from law enforcement, according to the State Journal.

The State Journal reports that police tried to subdue her with a Taser, which was ineffective.

The suspect is tentatively charged with recklessly endangering safety, resisting arrest while armed, disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a concealed weapon.

The Milwaukee Police Department was investigating a shooting that happened early Monday morning on W. Fairmount Ave. That’s where they believe the man was fatally injured, according to WBAY TV.
