KAUKAUNA — Fox Valley Association basketball rivals are coming together Friday to support one of their own.

Kaukauna coaches have organized a fundraiser at Friday’s girls-boys double header basketball game against Kimberly to raise money for the wife and son of an Appleton North coach who have had numerous health complications since October.

The benefit is being organized to help the family of Brandon Reichenberger, coach of the Appleton North Girls varsity team, according to a Facebook post from the Kaukauna Girls Basketball Association.

Brandon’s wife, Mary, gave birth to their son, Chase, prematurely in October of this year.

Shortly after, Mary was hospitalized with heart complications, while Chase had multiple complications of his own.

Both Mary and baby Chase currently are hospitalized in Madison.

Mary teaches at Hortonville High School and Brandon teaches at Appleton North and East high schools.

Fans attending Friday’s game can participate in a silent auction to raise money for the family.

Auction items include a Tyrese Haliburton NBA jersey donated by the Haliburton family. Haliburton starred at Oshkosh North while in high school.

Collecting Haven, from downtown Kaukauna, also donated a mini helmet signed by Charles Woodson.

All proceeds of a silent auction will be given to the Reichenberger family.

Game times:

  • Boys Freshman 4:30 canceled due to illness
  • Girls Varsity/Boys JV 6pm
  • Girls JV/Boys Varsity 7:30

The silent auction winner of the Tyrese Haliburton jersey will be announced in the main gym at halftime of the 7:30 game.
