LITTLE CHUTE — Heesakker Park in Little Chute will be closed to the public next week while a small group of approved bow hunters thin the deer herd.
The park will be closed from Monday, Dec. 13, 2021 through Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.

The Nelson Family Heritage Crossing boardwalk will remain open, however visitors entering from the Little Chute side are asked to use the Mill Street Bridge and Island Park to walk the the Heritage Parkway Trail along the water.
The pedestrian bridge from Island Park leading to Heesakker Park will also be closed during the Deer Culling dates.
Only approved hunters with a village permit are allowed in Heesakker Park during those dates. This year’s deer culling will be within Heesakker Park only.
