KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna has found its 2021 Christmas tree, and it has a special meaning for the woman who donated it.

Betty Merbach’s tree was selected as the City Of Kaukauna’s Official Christmas Tree to be located in Hydro Park and lighted Tuesday Dec. 7, 2021, during the annual Christmas parade.

The tree was donated in the name of Merbach’s late husband, Bob.

A photo posted to social media Thursday shows Joey Larson on the saw, Matt Wallace, Kyle Rich and Dean Meyer on the rope cutting the tree and installing it at Hydro Park.

Kaukauna Utilities employees then placed the star on tree as it gets ready for the official lighting.
