KAUKAUNA — High winds whipped snow into a whiteout this afternoon in Kaukauna and throughout much of northeast Wisconsin.
The National Weather service office in Green Bay warned shortly before 3 p.m. that a quick burst of snow was expected to track east across eastern Wisconsin.
“Be alert for rapid a reduction in visibility and a light accumulation of snow,” read the post.
Photos on social media showed whiteout conditions with winds roughly 50 m.p.h. as the storm rolled through.
There were reports of trees down from the Fox River Valley up through Door County.
Temperatures next will fall quickly fall below freezing. Slick spots are possible on the roads. Use extra caution if traveling.
