PULASKI — The Kimberly Papermakers were too much for the Kaukauna girls’ volleyball team Thursday, defeating the Ghosts 3-0 in straight games.

The loss in the WIAA Division 1 girls volleyball sectional semifinal match ended the team’s season.

The Kaukauna boys’ volleyball team will be in action Saturday.

The Ghosts defeated Appleton West Tuesday in three straight to advance to Saturday’s sectional final in Kaukauna.

The match begins at 4:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to the state tournament Nov. 4-6 in Green Bay.  The match will stream on the Kaukauna School District YouTube channel HERE.

Also Saturday, the Kaukauna girls’ cross country team will be in Wisconsin Rapids to defend their state cross country title.

PULASKI — As so many high school sports seasons do, Kaukuana will need to get past rival Kimberly to advance in the state tournament.

The three-seed Ghosts face the two-seed papermakers at 7 p.m. Thursday in Pulaski in a WIAA Division 1 girls volleyball sectional semifinal match.

Kaukauna won its regional Saturday with a three game sweep over Green Bay Southwest. Kimberly beat Bayport 3-1.

BRACKETS

The winner faces either No. 1 seed Appleton North or 4 see Hortonville in Kaukauna Saturday with a trip to state on the line.
