GREEN BAY — The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts softball team returns to the Division 1 WIAA state tournament Monday for the first time since their last championship in 2017.

Kaukauna faces Wilmot at noon Monday, June 28, 2021 at Bay Port High School. The winner of that game advances to the semifinal at 7 p.m. at King Park on the UW-Green Bay campus.

The title game is Wednesday at 3 p.m.

This will be Kaukauna’s third trip to state. The Galloping Ghosts captured the gold trophy in  both their previous State appearances including 2010  and  2017.

This year, they advanced to the quarterfinals this season following a 6-1 victory over Green Bay  Preble in the Ashwaubenon Sectional final. They are the champions of the Fox Valley Association this spring.

Each team received 300 tickets, which were sold at the school. There will be no on-site ticket sales.
