Here’s a word of caution for celebrities — don’t step away from your social media or the rumor mill will buzz.

‘Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson’s Twitter sprung back to life yesterday following earlier reports that her career had gone ‘dormant.’

Last February, the Daily Mail claimed her agent had said she’d gone “dormant,” which was apparently taken to mean the Harry Potter star had “given up acting.”

Add to that, the story reported that Watson Emma was taking time away from the spotlight to focus on her relationship with “rumored fiancé” Leo Robinton.

But after not tweeting since August of last year, Watson’s account sprung back to life Monday:

Dear Fans, Rumours about whether I’m engaged or not, or whether my career is “dormant or not” are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue.

If I have news – I promise I’ll share it with you.

Then the tweets kept coming:

In the mean time please assume no news from me just means I’m quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are – failing to make sourdough bread (!), caring for my loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people.

She finished by sending love to her fans:

I am sending so much love to you, hoping you’re ok and as well and happy as you can be in these strange times. And again, thank you to everyone working so hard to keep us safe and well. E Xx
