KAUKAUNA — A Kaukauna Boy Scout is currently raising money to redo a large fishing pier at 1000 Islands Environmental Center as part of his requirements to advance to the rank of Eagle Scout.

Brody Riehl is working with 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna to completely redo the pier closest to the Nature Center using composite wood.

He also plans to redo boardwalk leading up to the pier with composite wood. If additional funds are available he will add fishing pole holders and educational information on the pier.

He currently has raised about half of his $5,000 goal, including donations from local businesses like Abel Insurance, which donated $500 to the project.

You can donate to the project by visiting the Facebook page HERE.
