APPLETON — Police are searching for a man they warn is dangerous after two people were seriously injured overnight.

Appleton officers were sent about 11 p.m. Thursday to the 2600 block of North Richmond Street for a report of a disturbance with a weapin.

When police arrived, they found two victims who appeared to have been attacked with what police describe as an edged weapon.

Officers searched the area of the incident and located a blood trail leaving the immediate area of the crime scene.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals with significant injuries, according to a news release.

Investigators believe the male left the area on foot and officers are actively searching the area, but the suspect has not been located.

Investigators believe the male was attempting to enter homes and vehicles in the immediate vicinity.

Information at this point indicates the male traveled southwest on foot through public and private property. Investigators urge anyone in the surrounding area to report anything appearing suspicious or out of place to the Appleton Police Department.

A photo captured from a surveillance camera shows the suspect wearing a light-colored shirt and dark pants.

The suspect is considered dangerous, police say.

Police say do not attempt to approach the suspect and call 911. Contact the Appleton Police Department at 920-832-5500 if you have information regarding this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
