MINOCQUA — An image by a Kaukauna photographer was named North American wildlife photograph of the year in a contest sponsored by the Northwoods Wildlife Center.
The photograph by Ron Floyd, 1st Place, Photograph of the Year, is titled “Sunset Barred Owl.”
The Northwoods Wildlife Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping injured wildlife. The Northwoods Wildlife Center wildlife hospital opened on June 19, 1982, becoming one of the first wildlife hospitals in the Midwest.
A record number of photographs were submitted and votes cast in this year’s competition.
